Mini Games Decathlon – Format and Rule Changes

February 13, 2014

The Mini Games Decathlon will run a little differently to the main Games Decathlon tournament.

We are encouraging players to mix and play their different games with different people so no more than 2 games allowed with the same set of people.

4 players to a table. The points awarded will be 4 for the winner, 3 for second place, 2 for third place and 1 for fourth place. If there are only three players in a game, the points that can be scored will be 4, 3 and 2.

We expect there will be some players with equal scores after playing all their games so we are introducing a terraced level of tiebreakers. Starting from tiebreaker number 1 down to tiebreaker number 6. The player that goes in front will be the player that:

  1. Played 5 games as opposed to others that have played more
  2. Played less games
  3. Played more 4-player games
  4. Won more games
  5. Finished second in more games
  6. Finished third in more games

If any players are still tied after taking all the tiebreakers into consideration, they share the position.
